Nardy Delgado Román, a senior executive of Provider Network Solutions (PNS) of Puerto Rico, counts with more than 15 years of experience in diverse healthcare system segments in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean, including health insurance companies and service providers. Delgado Román has also served on the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Healthcare Financial Management Association and is an active member of the Academy of Healthcare Executives. His vast healthcare business acumen has earned the respect of clients and employees for his balanced, analytical, forward-thinking, versatile, and ethical leadership.

Delgado Román has a proven record of increasing growth in both impact and revenue, while implementing processes and policies that enhance operational efficiencies. His expertise in healthcare service administration, management and contracting are accountable assets in the financial planning process of the organization he has led.

Delgado Roman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Interamerican University Law School, Juris Doctor. He is a credentialed legal attorney in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico’s Supreme Court. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Phoenix and is a Fellow of the Academy of Healthcare Management (FAHM) AHIP.

UM determinations are made exclusively based on the appropriateness of care and services and the existence of coverage.

No Incentives for Denials

The organization does not specifically reward practitioners or other individuals for issuing denials of coverage or care.

No Incentives Encouraging Underutilization

Financial incentives for UM decision-makers are structured not to encourage decisions resulting in underutilization of care or services.
